Phoebe Ryan is a pop singer-songwriter whose work moves between indie pop and the glossier mainstream end of the genre. Her early singles "Mine" and "Chronic" introduced a writer comfortable threading hip-hop sensibility through pop hooks, and by the time of "How It Used to Feel" she had grown into an artist with a clear voice of her own rather than a sound borrowed from the radio.
She came up the long way. Born in Dallas and raised on the Jersey Shore, Ryan got her start singing in a Grateful Dead cover band in high school before sharpening her craft at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. From there she made the move to Los Angeles to pursue music full time.
Ryan records for Remarkable Babe Records and has built her reputation as a live act on club stages like the Mercury Lounge, Sonia, and Pearl Street Warehouse. That mix of songwriting depth and a road-tested stage show makes her a strong fit for college events, festival and fair lineups, corporate dates, and private shows.
