PJ Morton is a New Orleans singer, songwriter, producer, and keyboardist whose work runs through R&B, soul, and gospel. He has built a catalog on his own Morton Records, moving from the early Emotions (2005) to Walk Alone (2010) and New Orleans (2013), a run that traces a musician steadily writing and producing his own material rather than waiting to be handed it.
