Puddles Pity Party is the solo project of singer Michael Geier, a cabaret and pop-and-rock-covers act built around a sad-clown character. The performance leans on dramatic reworkings of familiar songs, with recordings including "Fix You" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," both released in 2017. The repertoire ranges across rockabilly, folk, and rock, all filtered through the character's mournful, theatrical delivery.
The character first built momentum the long way, working out of Atlanta and earning a following through touring guest spots and viral online performances. Early credits include a guest turn on the 2010 Aqua Teen Hunger Force Live tour and the 2013 Eels tour, the kind of road work that turned a club act into a draw.
The breakthrough came in 2017 as a quarter-finalist on Season 12 of "America's Got Talent," which led to a headlining residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
