R. City is the brother duo of Theron and Timothy Thomas, writing and recording across hip hop, R&B and pop, with soca and calypso running underneath the work. They have been at this since 2003, and the releases mark the climb: *Losin' It* in 2008, *No Days Off* in 2010, and the album *What Dreams Are Made Of* in 2015. The duo records for Quietly Making Noise.
The brothers grew up in Saint Thomas, and the Caribbean stayed in the writing long after the songs started traveling. Theron performs as Uptown AP, Timothy as A.I.
Their pens have earned as much attention as their voices. In 2014 the brothers won a Grammy Award for their songwriting on Rihanna's "Pour It Up," a credit that put two writers from a small island at the center of a global pop record. Live, they have taken the act well past the Caribbean, including a night at Mandela Hall in Belfast. R.
