R5 is a Los Angeles band who spent the 2010s working the ground where pop rock, power pop and pop punk overlap. Signed to Hollywood Records, they put out "Heart Made Up on You" in 2014, followed it with "Sometime Last Night" in 2015, and released "New Addictions" in 2017.
The band started as a family. Siblings Riker, Rocky, Ross and Rydel Lynch grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and formed the group in 2009 with their friend Ellington Ratliff, who came from Wisconsin. The move to Los Angeles put a sibling rhythm section and a Colorado upbringing at the center of a California rock band.
By 2014 R5 were headlining the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, a night documented on the release "R5: Live at the Greek Theatre." The following year they played Rock in Rio USA in Las Vegas, trading a hometown marquee for a festival stage. That combination of a sibling live band, a Hollywood Records catalog and real festival experience makes them a practical booking for college dates, fair and festival lineups, corporate events, casinos and private shows.
