Raveena, born Raveena Kaur Aurora, is a Massachusetts singer who works in R&B and experimental pop with soul and jazz underneath, and who records under her first name alone. Lucid arrived in 2019, Asha's Awakening followed in 2022, and Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain came in 2024, a run of full-length records issued through Moonstone Recordings and EMPIRE.
She found the music early. Born in the United States to Indian immigrant parents and raised in a Sikh household, she fell for singing around age 11 by way of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, and those voices are what turned a childhood interest into a profession. The jazz and soul she learned from still sits under the pop.
On stage she has taken that sound to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2022 and to the inaugural edition of Lollapalooza India in Mumbai. She works as a solo artist, which makes her a straightforward book for festival and fair lineups, college programming, corporate dates, casino stages, and private events.
