Ray Volpe is a Los Angeles producer working in dubstep and bass music, and his catalog stretches from the Lion EP in 2014 to the 2025 album FOREVER, VOLPETRON. The turn came in 2022 with LASERBEAM, a track that became a scene anthem and pulled remixes from Hardwell and Chris Lake. His heavy, bass-driven material has gone out through Monstercat, including the VOLPETRON ASCENDS EP and SEE YOU DROP, as well as his own RYVE and VOLPEVERSE imprints.
He came to production sideways. Volpe has said he started making music in 2010 after coming from a video editing background, and that work shaped the path he took into producing.
Live, Volpe has played rooms as different as Echostage, Sphere, and WAMU Theater, and his 2025 Lost Lands set was issued as a live DJ mix. That combination of festival-scale bass and club dubstep makes him a sought-after live act for festival lineups, college events, casinos, and private engagements.
