Redlight King is a Canadian rock band working across alternative and hard rock with a rap-rock edge. The group's debut album, Something for the Pain, arrived in 2011, followed by Irons in the Fire in 2013. Years on, the band kept the catalog moving with Moonshine in 2020 and In Our Blood in 2023.
The band came together in Hamilton, Ontario, in 2009. Singer-songwriter Mark Kasprzyk formed it with longtime collaborator Julian Tomarin, having previously recorded solo material under the name Kazzer. That history gives the project its roots: a writer who had already put in the work before assembling a band around the songs.
Alongside Kasprzyk and Tomarin, the lineup includes Brian Weever and Mark Goodwin, and the band records on its own imprint, Redlight King Inc. Active since 2009, Redlight King is a sought-after live act for festival and fair lineups, college events, corporate dates, and private engagements.
