Rema is the stage name of Divine Ikubor, a Nigerian artist working across afrobeats and the afrorave sound he helped define. His 2022 single "Calm Down" became a signature track, and he followed it with the album "Rave & Roses" that same year, expanding it into the "Rave & Roses (Ultra)" edition in 2023.
Born in Benin City, Rema first drew notice through freestyle videos recorded in a car and posted online. Those clips reached Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy, who signed him to the label in 2019.
Rema records under Mavin Records and UMG, and "Calm Down" earned him the MTV Video Music Award for Best Afrobeats. He has performed at rooms including The Tabernacle and Poble Espanyol, making him a strong fit for festival and fair lineups, college programming, corporate events, and private engagements.
