Rhye is the R&B project of Canadian singer, songwriter and producer Mike Milosh, working a line between sophisti-pop and the dance floor. The debut album Woman landed in 2013 and was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize that year. Blood followed in 2018 and Home in 2021, a run released through Universal Music Group that carried the project from a studio idea to a touring act.
Milosh came to this trained as a classical cellist. He was born in Toronto and has been recording under the Rhye name since 2010, first as a duo with Danish instrumentalist and producer Robin Hannibal. Hannibal left around 2017, and Milosh has run the project since, now working out of Los Angeles.
The live catalog reaches rooms like ZeyZey Miami, August Hall and Théâtre Beanfield, the kind of stages that suit a set built on voice and groove rather than volume. That makes Rhye a strong fit for college programming, festival and fair lineups, corporate events, casinos and private engagements.
