SadBoi is a Toronto singer and songwriter whose work moves between alternative R&B and the dancehall, soca, and reggae she grew up around, with pop instincts holding it together. She introduced the project on her own terms with "were all the ig girls worth it?" in 2022, then signed to LVRN Records (Love Renaissance) in 2024 and used the year to push out new material, including "DRY CRY."
She started early. At 11 she sang Keyshia Cole's "Love" at the Canadian National Exhibition, and a Toronto producer in the audience told her to go record. She took the advice literally, writing her own material and posting it to YouTube, which is where the voice on her records was built.
Born Ebhoni Jade Cato-O'Garro, she works as a solo artist, and the credentials have followed the catalog: a Juno Award win, a 2025 nomination, and two more nominations in 2026. She has also taken a turn on COLORSxSTUDIOS, the kind of stripped-back showcase that rewards a singer who can carry a room alone. Her first solo headlining tour opened at the Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta and grew into stages like The Fonda Theatre and The Glass House, with summer dates across the UK and Europe. That range makes her a natural fit for college programming, festival and fair lineups, corporate events, and private engagements.
