Sam Tsui is a singer and songwriter whose catalog moves across pop, soul, acoustic and synthpop. He put out two records in 2010, The Covers and Just a Dream, and the pace never really let up: Make It Up followed in 2013, and Anywhere With You Is Home arrived in 2017, with more than two dozen other releases filling the years between. He came up online rather than through a club circuit. Tsui is from Blue Bell, and with his production partner Kurt Schneider he was among the first musicians to build a music-focused channel on YouTube, back when that was an unproven way to reach an audience. The two of them figured out what the format rewarded before most of the industry had a name for it.
That work built a following that travels, and it makes Tsui a natural fit for college campuses, corporate programs, fair and festival lineups, and private engagements where a voice-forward pop set carries the room.
