San Cisco are an indie pop band who work in the space where indie rock guitars meet power pop hooks. Their catalog is a long one, and the run from "SloMo" in 2016 to the 2018 album "When I Dream" tracks a group that kept sharpening the same instinct for a melody rather than chasing a new one. They record for Fat Possum Records.
They came up as school friends. The band formed in 2009 in Fremantle, Western Australia, where Jordi Davieson, Scarlett Stevens, Nick Gardner, and Josh Biondillo first played together under the name King George before settling on San Cisco.
Since their debut album in 2012, San Cisco have appeared at music festivals across Australia and abroad, to the point that a festival lineup is now their natural habitat, with headline dates at rooms like the Mona Vale Hotel in between. More than a decade on from that Fremantle start, they are a sought-after live act for festival and fair lineups, college programming, corporate dates, and private engagements.
