Turning their romantic partnership into a creative one, Sean Lennon (son of the late John Lennon and Yoko Ono) and Charlotte Kemp Muhl formed the Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (often shortened to GOASST) in 2008. In the spirit of the psychedelia that influenced their sounds, the multi-instrumentalist pair freely bring in pieces from all over the musical map to create their blissfully melodic musical explorations. The band made their debut in 2010 with a pair of releases, a poppy, Brazilian-influenced (and Mark Ronson produced) Jardin Du Luxembourg, and an album of gentle acoustic tracks simply titled Acoustic Sessions. An EP, La Carotte Bleue, followed in 2011 before the band fully realized their sonic vision on Midnight Sun in 2014.
