Shaya Zamora is a solo singer-songwriter working in indie folk, with an alternative gospel and Christian-influenced pop thread running through it. He started self-releasing music in earnest in 2023, and the EP Eulogize followed in early 2024, anchored by the song Cigarette. That release was his breakout. Monster came in 2025, and he now records for WMG.
He was writing long before any of that. A native of rural Washington, Zamora began putting songs together at a young age, years ahead of his first real run of releases, and the alt-folk directness of the material reflects where it started.
Zamora writes and performs on his own, and the catalog has filled in fast since 2023, with Pretty Little Devil arriving alongside the Eulogize EP in 2024. It makes for a live show that carries in a room where the words matter, which is what makes him a sensible booking for college programming, fair and festival stages, corporate events, and private shows.
