Sofia Bolt is a sunlit groove, a phone call ringing across the ocean, a project by the French-born musician, songwriter, and producer Amélie Rousseaux.
Her nostalgic debut album, Waves, released in 2019, glances with jet-lagged eyes at the salt-water horizon, humming to past love and daring the here-and-now. It was praised by Iggy Pop, Pitchfork, The Guardian. She has collaborated with Van Dyke Parks and most recently created the acclaimed soundtrack to Hedi Slimane’s CELINE W2020 collection.
Her follow-up EP “Soft Like a Peach” presents pop melodies forever young and wise beyond their years, finding ways to soften, forgive and accept oneself with time and between two continents.
“Soft like a Peach” was recorded live in Los Angeles in the summer of 2021 by Amélie Rousseaux, Evan Taylor (co-production and keys), Sean Cook (engineering and mixing), Cyrus Gengras (bass), Jesse Quebbeman-Turley (drums), Oliver Hill (strings), Logan Hone (flute and saxophone), and Mark Yoshizumi (mastering).
Secret Memories was voted top 10 songs of 2022 by TIME Magazine.
