Sophie Truax is a singer-songwriter working in indie pop. She released her first single, "Untether," in 2023, and it found an audience after landing on Spotify's Fresh Finds playlist. She followed it with the 2024 release "Kissing With a Cavity" on Felt & Forgot.
She came up the long way around. Truax grew up in Seattle, Washington, dropped out of Berklee College of Music at 23, and moved back west to start releasing her own pop songs.
Truax has since taken her songs on the road, headlining her first nationwide U.S. run, the Strung Along Tour, with a date at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. A solo artist who writes and fronts her own material, she is a fit for college events, festival lineups, and private engagements.
