Stephen Day is a Georgia-bred, Nashville-based singer-songwriter whose sound moves between pop rock, soul, and blues. He introduced himself with Guess I'm Grown Now in 2019, sharpened the picture on 2021's The Shapes I'm In, and landed his most recent statement with Gold Mine in 2024, all built on records he put out himself.
A preacher's son, Day came up the long way: self-releasing his music, touring hard, and growing his audience one room at a time. That work turned into sold-out headline shows in Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, and Washington DC, with stops at the Bowery Ballroom in New York and The Troubadour in Los Angeles along the way.
On stage he is backed by Andrew Brown on bass, Harrison Finks on keys, and Chris Karabelas on drums, all of whom add backing vocals. Signed to Riser House Records, Day earned his first major film sync placement in Universal Pictures' Strays in 2023 and has carried his shows to international festivals in the Philippines and Poland. He is a grounded live act for festival and fair lineups, college events, corporate dates, and private engagements.
