Stevie Wonder is a soul, R&B and pop singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist with 25 Grammy Awards and more than 100 million records sold. His early-1970s run on Motown's Tamla label, Music of My Mind and Talking Book in 1972, Innervisions in 1973, Fulfillingness' First Finale in 1974 and the 1976 double album Songs in the Key of Life, produced "Superstition," "Higher Ground," "Living for the City" and "Sir Duke," and three of those albums won the Grammy for Album of the Year. The hits carried into the 1980s with "Part-Time Lover" and "I Just Called to Say I Love You," which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
He was a star before he was a teenager. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, and raised in Detroit, Wonder signed with Motown's Tamla label at 11 and reached No. 1 at 13 with the live recording "Fingertips." At 21 he negotiated full creative control over his music, the freedom that produced his landmark 1970s albums.
Stevie Wonder is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, a Kennedy Center Honoree, and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2026 The New York Times named him one of the 30 greatest living American songwriters. This fall he marks the 50th anniversary of Songs in the Key of Life by performing the album in full on an 18-date world tour, from The O2 in London to Madison Square Garden and the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. With a songbook that crosses every generation, Stevie Wonder is a headline draw for major festivals, performing arts center galas, casino showrooms, milestone corporate celebrations and once-in-a-lifetime private events.
