Subtronics is Jesse Kardon, a producer and DJ working in dubstep, riddim, and the broader field of bass music. He built the name on his Now That's What I Call Riddim mix series, and the album run that followed traded the mixtape format for full-length statements: FRACTALS in 2022, TESSERACT in 2024, and the Fibonacci material in 2025. His records have come out through Cyclops Recordings, Deadbeats, Never Say Die, and Disciple.
The project is one person. Kardon runs Subtronics as a solo operation out of Philadelphia, and the Pennsylvania roots show in a catalog that reaches well past forty releases while staying inside the sound he started with, riddim and its heavier neighbors, rather than chasing a lane outside it.
That output has carried him from club rooms to festival stages. Subtronics has played the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, including a major-stage appearance noted by the Los Angeles Times, alongside dates at the Smoothie King Center, Exchange LA, and NOVA SD. It is a live act built for volume and scale, which makes him a fit for festival and fair lineups, college concerts and late-night campus events, casino rooms, and private engagements looking for a bass-music headline set.
