Tainy, the stage name of Marco Efraín Masís Fernández, is a producer from San Juan working across reggaeton and Latin urban pop. His full-length work runs from NEON16 TAPE: THE KIDS THAT GREW UP ON REGGAETON in 2020 through DYNASTY in 2021 and DATA in 2023, released via NEON16. Along the way he charted "Lo siento BB:/" in 2021.
Tainy started young. He signed with the reggaeton production duo Luny Tunes at age 15, made his production debut on the compilation Mas Flow 2, and went on to co-produce Los Benjamins and Wisin & Yandel's Los Extraterrestres.
That early apprenticeship built into one of the most decorated runs in the genre: at least six Latin Grammy Awards and 116 weeks at #1 on the Billboard producer chart, the most of any producer recorded there. A grounded fit for festival lineups, corporate events, casino programming, college events, and private engagements.
