The Band Loula is an independent country/folk duo whose sound pulls blues and soul into a swampgrass groove. The pair built their catalog on their own terms, starting with the 2024 album Marshall County Man and carrying through to recent cuts like "Gettin' Clean," then signed to Warner Records Nashville without losing the indie edge that defines them.
They came up as lifelong friends. Malachi Mills and Logan Simmons grew up in North Georgia, and that shared history shows in a duo that plays like one voice rather than two musicians who met on the road. That bond carried them from regional rooms to the biggest validation in their genre: a Grand Ole Opry debut on May 23, 2025.
The road has put them in serious company, with tour dates alongside Dierks Bentley on his Broken Branches Tour and runs with Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne, and Elle King. With the Opry behind them and a duo built on real friendship, The Band Loula is a grounded live act for fairs, festival lineups, college events, and private engagements.
