Book TOBi for colleges, corporate events, fairs, festivals, casinos & private shows. Contact Degy Entertainment for booking info.
TOBi is a rapper and singer whose hip-hop runs through soul and R&B, with Afrobeat threaded into the rhythm and a songwriter's care for the line. He introduced that blend on FYi in 2016, tightened it on STILL in 2019, and built it out on ELEMENTS, Vol. 1 in 2020, with PANIC following in 2023. He records for ALLWON.
He came to music the long way. Born Oluwatobi Feyisara Ajibolade in Lagos, Nigeria, he immigrated to Canada around age eight or nine and grew up in Ottawa, where he started taking songwriting and record-making seriously in his early teens. He also finished degrees in biology and psychology before committing to music as a career.
That commitment shows in the trophy case. TOBi is a four-time Juno Award winner: ELEMENTS, Vol. 1 took Rap Album of the Year at the 2021 Junos and was shortlisted for the 2021 Polaris Music Prize, and Shall I Continue? won Rap Album/EP of the Year at the 2023 Junos. He performs as a solo artist and has played across Canada and the United States, including a night at First Avenue in Minneapolis. The mix of rap, soul, and R&B travels easily, which makes him a natural booking for college programming, festival and fair lineups, corporate events, and private engagements.
