TOKiMONSTA is the electronic producer and beatmaker Jennifer Lee, working across experimental beats, hip hop, and the brainfeeder sound. She released her debut EP Cosmic Intoxication in 2010, followed by Half Shadows in 2013 and Lune Rouge in 2017, the album that earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
She came up through the underground. Lee grew up playing classical piano, then taught herself production and mixing in her early twenties, emerging from Torrance and the Los Angeles Project Blowed and Low End Theory scenes before her first release in 2010.
That Grammy nod made her the first Asian American woman nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. She records for Young Art Records and has played stages from the Low End Theory club series to The Night Cat and House of Yes, performing at major festivals worldwide. A sought-after live act for festival lineups, college events, casino dates, and private engagements.
