A Louisville, Kentucky-based dream pop trio with neo-psychedelic tendencies, Twin Limb was founded in 2013 by accordionist/vocalist Lacey Guthrie and percussionist Maryliz Bender. The group's eclectic blend of indie pop, post-punk, and bass/drone-heavy psych-folk reached its full potential in 2014 with the arrival of producer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Ratterman, who helmed the group's 2015 debut EP, Anything Is Possible and Nothing Makes Sense. In 2016 the group joined My Morning Jacket's Jim James on the road, serving as both the opening act and his backing band. The trio's long-gestating debut long-player, Haplo, was issued via Suretone that same year.
