Los Angeles alt-rock combo Wildling first appeared in late 2014, though the band's roots can be traced back to 2004. The bright, melodic, big-roomed indie rock of co-founders Ryan Levine (vocals) and Andrew Ampaya (keyboards) was first developed under the name Test Your Reflex, who released their RCA-issued debut in 2007. When the RCA contract lapsed, Levine and Ampaya operated for a few years as No Country before finally re-emerging as Wildling with bassist Justin Levine (singer Ryan Levine's brother), guitarist Erik Janson, and drummer Casey Wojtalewicz. After working the L.A. scene and landing a few high-profile licensing syncs, Wildling signed with Warner Bros. in early 2017 and delivered their Joe Chiccarelli-produced debut EP, Here, in September of that year.
