Monique is poised for global superstardom with her multicultural, genre-bending
approach to music. Affectionately dubbed “The Shakira of Phoenix” early on in her
career, she was scouted to perform on Netflix’s La Firma, in front of reggaeton
titans Rauw Alejandro, Tainy, Nicki Nicole, and Yandel, who served as judges and
mentors.
Monique’s journey through music began at the formative age of 12 years old, when
she picked up a guitar in her house. Her natural talent led her to become one of the
most prominent self-taught singer-songwriters in Arizona; this paved the path for
her eponymous EP to be released in 2018.
From a Latin and Middle Eastern family, Monique was keen on incorporating her
culture into her music. Internationally recognized, most prominently with a large
fan base in Latin America, she blends Latin, Middle Eastern, and American sounds
in her own style to produce tracks in a blend of English and Spanish.
