Described as a "Delightfully-experimental sound that pushes boundaries while retaining an ultra-cool pop-chic quality that’s like little else out there” - (MXDWN) Reliant Tom is an indie pop band and dance troupe led by choreographer and songwriter Claire Cuny in partnership with producer and sound artist Monte Weber. The pair met in NYC in 2015 at an experimental dance theater show and their relationship blossomed into a mutual love for experimentation, sonically and visually. They consider each album an opportunity to explore new sounds and movement styles: from the industrial art rock noise of Bad Orange (2018), the dark and introspective world of Play & Rewind (2020) or their 90s alternative inspired album “dancer in the dark” (2023), Reliant Tom is sure to present a show that is as thought provoking as it is entraining.
