Adam Ray is an American stand-up comedian and improv performer best known for his Dr. Phil parody character. What began as a one-off version of Dr. Phil McGraw for a pilot turned into something bigger: after performing in prosthetics at the Laugh Factory and getting a strong response, Ray developed the character into full-length stand-up routines in 2019. Those routines became his Netflix comedy special Dr. Phil Unleashed, released in November 2024, and the touring live show Dr. Phil LIVE!, which he has taken internationally.
The Los Angeles comedy scene built the act. Ray started running his Dr. Phil routines at the Laugh Factory, and since 2023 he has held down monthly Dr. Phil shows at The Comedy Store. His work spans stand-up, improv, and parody, and it has also reached television through THE ADAM RAY SHOW on Netflix. A live performer at heart, Adam Ray is a strong fit for comedy clubs, college programming, corporate events, fairs, and private engagements.
