DannyLux is the recording name of Daniel Balderrama Espinoza, a songwriter working the seam between the regional Mexican tradition and indie folk, a blend usually filed as sad sierreño. His albums arrived in a run rather than a trickle, from Las Dos Caras Del Amor in 2021 through Perdido En Ti in 2022, and then DLUX in 2023, which the RIAA certified Gold (Latin).
He started young. Born in Palm Springs, he was still in his adolescence when "Jugaste y Sufrí," his collaboration with Eslabon Armado, found a wide audience and turned a teenager's songs into a working career. The range has stayed wide since, with Latin urban, chicano indie, pop, and folk all sitting inside the same catalog.
