El Malilla is a Mexican reggaeton artist working in reggaeton Mexa, the strain of perreo built on hometown slang and cumbiatón. He put his name on it quickly, with B de Bellako in 2023, ÑEROSTARS in 2024, and Tu Maliante Bebé in 2025.
He came up in Valle de Chalco, a barrio outside Mexico City. Born Fernando Hernández Flores, he started pursuing music in his mid-teens after hearing old-school reggaeton at a local tianguis, then pushed that sound through Mexican slang and cumbiatón until it had a name of its own and a scene behind it.
El Malilla performs as a solo artist, and the milestones have come one after another. He was the first reggaeton Mexa act billed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, appearing at the 2025 edition, and he gave the Grammy Museum its first reggaeton Mexa performance. On February 13, 2026, he headlined the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, the first Mexican reggaeton act to do it. That combination of festival reach and hometown draw makes him a strong booking for college events, festival and fair lineups, casinos, corporate dates, and private shows.
