Funeral Proposals are a four-piece rock ‘n’ roll band from Akron, OH. They champion scorched guitars and cutting vocals, supported by bellowing rhythm. The focus of the band is fun and intense performances. It is served loud and off-kilter. The alternative-rock group consists of Holden Shumate (vocals/guitar), Ryan Hanlon (guitar), and Samuele Gucciardo (drums), with Gavin Gunn (bass). Funeral Proposals have been together and performing since 2013. There is a certain connectivity that musicians develop when they’ve played together since middle school. Since then, Funeral Proposals have performed at the many venues that NE Ohio has to offer. They have had the pleasure to venture out into neighboring states and further to promote their single “Lizards” (2018). After quarantine, Funeral Proposals decided to embrace their evolving sound and peek into the noise. Funeral Proposals have a deep love for melody, quick turns, and volume. They released their newest record “Forever Glow” in 2023. This newest release marks a significant change in the Funeral Proposals sound and a step forward for more demolition jobs. Now, Funeral Proposals are focused on lively and inviting performances. They are currently working on their next record.
