Jake Owen is an American country singer-songwriter working across contemporary country, country pop, and bro-country. Born Joshua Ryan Owen, he signed to RCA Nashville in 2006 and released his debut studio album, Startin' with Me, that same year. His catalog has since grown deep, running through recent releases like Loose Cannon in 2023 and Them Old Love Songs in 2025.
He came up out of Vero Beach, Florida. Along the way he built a run of hits few country acts match, stacking nine No. 1 singles on the US country charts, among them "Barefoot Blue Jean Night," "Beachin'," and "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)."
