Jon Secada is a Grammy-winning bilingual singer and songwriter best known for "Just Another Day," the 1992 crossover smash that hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and its Spanish version, "Otro Día Más Sin Verte." His self-titled debut sold 7 million copies and won the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album, he took the same award again for Amor in 1996, and he added a Latin Grammy in 2017 for his tribute album, To Beny Moré With Love. In all, he has sold more than 15 million records.
He started behind the scenes. Born in Havana and raised in Hialeah, Florida, Secada earned a master's degree in jazz vocal performance from the University of Miami, taught music and sang backup for Miami Sound Machine before co-writing Gloria Estefan's No. 1 hit "Coming Out of the Dark." He has since written for Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez and starred on Broadway in Grease.
Secada still performs his hits in English and Spanish on theater, casino and festival stages, and in 2025 he joined the faculty of Florida International University's music school. His polished, crowd-pleasing show makes him a strong fit for performing arts centers, festival and fair lineups, casinos, college programming and private events.
