Kavinsky is the stage name of French musician, producer, DJ, and actor Vincent Pierre Claude Belorgey, working in synth-pop, electro house, and French electro. He built the project across a run that stretches from the Teddy Boy EP in 2005 through the widely heard Nightcall in 2010 and the Outrun album in 2013, later returning with Reborn in 2022. His records have come out on Record Makers, with releases through MCA Records and Fool's Gold along the way.
Born in 1975 in Seine-Saint-Denis, France, Belorgey came to music by a side door. He first pursued acting, appearing in films by his childhood friend Quentin Dupieux, before creating the Kavinsky persona in 2005. The Paris-based artist folded that cinematic instinct into a sound built for the dancefloor.
Belorgey has taken the project to rooms like Hotel Amour Nice and Le Chalet des Îles, a track record that makes him a grounded fit for festival lineups, corporate events, casino stages, college programming, and private engagements.
