Kyle Dion is an R&B and soul singer whose work moves through pop, funk, and the looser edges of alternative R&B. He introduced himself with Painting Sounds in 2016, then sharpened the vision on SUGA in 2019 and SASSY in 2021. Born in Connecticut and raised in Coral Springs, Florida, Dion came up around music. His father is a rapper, and his maternal grandfather was a Portuguese singer. He first gained notice on Kehlani's 2014 mixtape Cloud Nineteen, and the attention pulled him to Los Angeles.
