Lancey Foux is a solo rapper working across trap, UK rap, underground rap, rage rap and punk rap. He arrived in 2015 with Pink, followed the same year by Teen Skum, and kept building through First Day At Nursery in 2017 and Pink II in 2018. He records for Lizzy Records.
The roots run through Stratford. Foux, born Lance O. Omal, grew up in East London to Ugandan parents, and the Lingala, Congolese and Ugandan records his DJ father played at parties shaped his musical background. That mix sits underneath the trap and punk-leaning rap he makes now.
His work has put him in the company of Lil Yachty and 070 Shake, and he has played events on the contemporary hip hop festival circuit. On stage he has worked rooms including O2 Academy Brixton, Manchester Albert Hall and Elysee Montmartre, which makes him a live act suited to college programming, festival and fair lineups, and private engagements.
