Loud Luxury is Andrew Fedyk and Joe De Pace, a house duo whose records sit close enough to dance-pop that the hooks land on a nightclub floor and a festival field alike. Armada has carried much of their output, from "Love No More" in 2018 through "Cold Feet" in 2020 and "If Only I" in 2023, and the through-line across all of it is the same instinct for a chorus that a crowd can sing back.
They built the thing from a dorm room. Fedyk and De Pace met while attending Western University in London, Ontario, started making music together in 2012, and spent the early years posting remixes to SoundCloud with no particular guarantee that anyone would find them. "Body" is what changed that, the track that turned two students trading files into a working act.
The awards followed in 2019: a Juno for Group of the Year, a Juno for Dance Recording of the Year for "Body", and a Breakthrough Group of the Year nomination the same season. The live schedule since has run from club rooms like XS Nightclub and LIV to festival stages including Badlands Tent, which is the useful thing to know about booking them. The same set holds up in a nightclub booth, on a fair or festival lineup, in front of a college crowd, and at a corporate or private event where the job is keeping a room on its feet.
