Matt Stell is a country and country pop artist out of Center Ridge, Arkansas. His 2019 single "Everywhere But On" arrived alongside "Prayed For You," the song that became his calling card, certified 2X Platinum by the RIAA and named ASCAP's Pop and Country Most-Performed Song. He has kept the catalog moving since, from "Better Than That" in 2020 to "Born Lonely" in 2024.
Stell came up split between two places. Growing up, he divided his time between his mother's home on the Florida Gulf Coast south of Tampa and summers, Christmases and spring breaks with family in Arkansas, experiences that shaped both his perspective and his songwriting.
He signed a publishing deal with Wide Open Music in 2014 and has recorded for Records/Arista Nashville since 2018, and he was the first artist to receive a virtual multi-week plaque from the RIAA for "Prayed For You." Stell has played the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and brought his sets to festivals including Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood, New Jersey and Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, making him a strong fit for fairs, festival lineups, college events, and private engagements.
