Peter Bjorn and John are the Swedish indie pop trio behind "Young Folks," the whistle-hook 2006 hit with Victoria Bergsman that reached the UK Top 20, was named NME's second-best track of the year and turned up everywhere from How I Met Your Mother and the Gossip Girl pilot to FIFA 08. Their album Writer's Block made them an international indie favorite, and "Second Chance" later became the theme song for the sitcom 2 Broke Girls. They have kept evolving across albums like Darker Days in 2018 and Endless Dream in 2020.
They have been the same three friends from the start. Peter Morén on vocals, guitar and harmonica, Björn Yttling on bass and keyboards and John Eriksson on drums formed the band in Stockholm in 1999, with Yttling producing their first four albums.
Their songs have even crossed into hip-hop, including a track with Drake on his 2009 mixtape So Far Gone. With one of indie pop's most recognizable hooks in their set, they are a strong fit for festival lineups, college events, corporate events and private shows.
