Plain White T's are a Chicago band working in pop-punk, acoustic rock, and alternative rock. Signed to Hollywood Records, they broke through with "Hey There Delilah," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified quadruple-platinum in the United States in 2007. The momentum carried into Every Second Counts (2006) and Big Bad World (2008), followed by Wonders of the Younger (2010) and Should've Gone to Bed (2013).
The band took shape in 1997 in the suburbs of Chicago, where high school friends Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio, and Ken Fletcher started it and built a local following before that breakthrough single. The platinum singles kept coming after Delilah: "1, 2, 3, 4" was certified platinum in 2009 and "Rhythm of Love" in 2011.
The lineup has included Tim Lopez, De'Mar Hamilton, and Mike Retondo alongside founders Tirio and Fletcher. At the 2008 Grammy Awards, "Hey There Delilah" earned two nominations, for Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. With a catalog of certified hits and stages from Leader Bank Pavilion to The Stone Pony Summer Stage behind them, Plain White T's are a sought-after live act for festival and fair lineups, college events, corporate dates, and private engagements.
