Princess Nokia is the stage name of Destiny Nicole Frasqueri, a New York solo artist who moves between hip hop, trap, and r&b. She released music as Wavy Spice before settling on the Princess Nokia name around 2013, and the records since then show an artist who keeps changing lanes on purpose: *Everything is Beautiful* in 2020, *Diva* in 2022, and *GIRLS* in 2025. She works under the Artist House label.
She came up on the Lower East Side. Born in New York City on June 14, 1992, Frasqueri spent time in foster care after her mother died from complications of AIDS, and the city she grew up in remains the reference point for the writing she does under the Princess Nokia name.
Her work has been recognized with the Libera Award for Best Breakthrough Artist, and she has taken the material to stages ranging from Alexandra Palace Park to The Art School and Glendalough Estate. As a solo performer with a catalog that spans more than three decades of the hip hop and r&b she draws from, she is a strong fit for college programming, festival and fair lineups, corporate events, and private engagements.
