Qveen Herby is the solo project of Amy Renee Heidemann Noonan, working a lane that pulls R&B, pop and soul into trap-influenced pop rap. She started it in 2017 and has built it out on her own label, Checkbook Records, at a release pace most artists never attempt. The Vignettes arrived in 2019, A Woman in 2021 and HOUSEWIFE in 2023, three records that trace a project growing more assured with each one rather than chasing a single sound.
She did not come up in a music city. Noonan was born April 29, 1986, in Seward, Nebraska, and first reached a wide audience as half of the pop duo Karmin before turning the page on that chapter and reintroducing herself under a new name.
Karmin is the credit that opened the door, but the Qveen Herby catalog is the body of work she owns outright, written and released on her own terms. On the road she has played rooms including The Eastern, House of Blues and The Fillmore Charlotte. That combination of a deep catalog and a proven club and theater draw makes her a strong fit for college programming, festival and fair lineups, casino stages, corporate events and private shows.
