Ralphie Choo is a Spanish producer and recording artist working somewhere between bedroom pop, hip hop, and flamenco-influenced avant-pop. He started releasing his own material in 2020 with Dolores, sharpened the approach on 2022's BULERÍAS DE UN CABALLO MALO, and pulled the threads together on SUPERNOVA in 2023. He records for Rusia-IDK/Warner Records.
The route in was not the obvious one. Born Juan Casado Fisac in Madrid and raised in Daimiel, in Castilla-La Mancha, he was studying chemical engineering before he moved to music production, and he has been putting out his own records since 2019.
Choo performs as a solo artist under the Ralphie Choo name. A COLORSxSTUDIOS session put the sound in front of a wider audience, and he has since played rooms and stages including Sant Jordi Club and Parc del Fòrum, along with a festival appearance at Les Nuits Botanique. That live work translates cleanly to festival lineups, college programming, corporate events, and private shows.
