Reiley is a Faroese singer working in pop, dance-pop and electronic dance music. His 2023 single "Breaking My Heart" is the song that defines him so far: it won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2023, Denmark's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, and turned a young solo artist into the first Faroese performer ever to represent Denmark at the contest.
He came to that stage from a very small one. Born Rani Johann Petersen on 24 November 1997 in Tórshavn, in the Faroe Islands, he built his first audience online as a social media influencer, then carried that following into a recording career under the single name Reiley.
The Eurovision run took him to Liverpool in 2023, where he performed "Breaking My Heart" for Denmark in the contest's second semi-final. He works alone, fronting his own material, and the mix of a national-final win, an international broadcast credit and an audience built online makes him a practical booking for college programming, corporate events, fairs and festival lineups, casinos and private shows.
