Robin Thicke is a Los Angeles singer who built a career on blue-eyed soul, singing contemporary R&B with hip hop underneath it. The Evolution of Robin Thicke won him the Soul Train Award for Best R&B/Soul Album, Male in 2007, and in 2013 Blurred Lines carried him well past R&B radio, with the title track drawing nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
