TALK is the recording name of Nicholas Durocher, a solo artist working in pop and rock. He opened the project in 2021 with the single "Run Away to Mars" and the EP "Talk to Me," then delivered the album "Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees" in 2023 on ArtHaus Music. The debut single took the long road: it reached number one on Billboard's Adult Alternative Airplay chart in early 2023, two years after it first came out.
He arrived at it through practice rather than accident. Durocher grew up taking piano, guitar, and drum lessons, studied at Algonquin College, and kept writing and recording on his own afterward before being discovered in Toronto.
TALK is still a one-man operation, and the rooms have scaled with it, from Scotiabank Arena to Levitt Pavilion. That range makes Durocher a practical booking for college programming, festival and fair lineups, corporate events, and private engagements.
