Book Tamar Braxton for casinos, corporate events, colleges, festivals & private shows. Contact Degy Entertainment for booking info.
Tamar Braxton is a contemporary R&B and soul singer whose recording career runs from her 2000 debut, Tamar, to the album that redefined her standing in the genre. That album was Love and War in 2013, which drew Grammy Award nominations for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Performance. Bluebird of Happiness followed in 2017, and she records for Platform Sounds.
She came up singing in church. Born in Severn, Maryland as the youngest sister of singer Toni Braxton, she entered the music industry in the late 1980s with the family R&B group The Braxtons, more than a decade before her name appeared on a solo release.
The credits stack up around the catalog: a BET Award win in the Centric category, three Soul Train Music Awards wins, and a Daytime Emmy Award for cohosting The Real. She competed on Dancing with the Stars Season 21 and won season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother in the United States. On stage she has played rooms as different as City Winery, Wintrust Arena, and the Columbus Civic Center, which makes her a flexible booking for casino showrooms, college dates, fairs and festivals, corporate events, and private engagements.
