The Green emerged from Oahu, Hawaii in 2009, blending roots reggae, Hawaiian soul, and pop into a genre-defining sound known as “Island Reggae.” With four powerhouse vocalists and a deep connection to their culture, the band quickly rose to prominence with their self-titled debut album and breakout single “Love I,” which set a Billboard Reggae Chart record for longevity. Signature tracks like “All I Need,” “Wake Up,” and “Brand New Eyes” showcase their smooth harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and boundary pushing production that continues to resonate across generations.
On stage, The Green are a cultural phenomenon. Their commanding presence and uplifting energy have lit up sold out arenas and iconic festivals including California Roots, One Love Cali Reggae Fest, and Vans Warped Tour. They’ve shared stages with reggae legends like Damian Marley, SOJA, and Rebelution, and were personally invited by Bruno Mars to open for his sold out shows at Aloha Stadium. Whether performing at the Blue Note Hawaii or headlining rooftop concerts in Waikiki, The Green deliver immersive live experiences that celebrate unity, resilience, and the spirit of Aloha.
Currently, The Green are preparing for their 2025 world tour following the release of their new album, which promises a fresh evolution in sound. With recent collaborations featuring J Boog, Kolohe Kai, and Allen Stone, and ventures like their Kaua’i-based nonprofit Ka Ma’o and merch hub The Green General, the band continues to inspire globally. Their music remains a beacon of positivity, connecting fans to the heart of Hawaiian reggae and the enduring power of live performance.
