The Paradox is an Atlanta pop-punk band that made history as the first all-black punk band to reach number one on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart. Skate punk energy runs through everything they do, and they have made it count, putting out a steady run of singles on Hundred Days Records since their start, among them "Do Me Like That" and "NSFW."
They came up where the boards met the amps. The members grew up surfing and playing music in Florida before their paths crossed in Atlanta, where university, Facebook groups, and local shows pulled them into the same orbit. The band that became The Paradox took shape after the founding members went to a New Found Glory concert together, an origin that says plenty about the records they grew up loving.
Fronted by members including Deon Lewis, Eric Dangerfield, and Ray Man, the band has shared stages with the genre's heavyweights: they opened for Green Day on an Atlanta tour date, played the Bowery Ballroom in New York, and turned up at Warped Tour in Washington, DC, where Eric joined All Time Low onstage for their single "PMA." That track record makes them a sought-after live act for festival and fair lineups, college events, and private engagements.
